Let me start by saying that I cannot even begin to explain to you how much of a passion this is for me, being able to be around my animals so much and to have them as a major part of my life! I hope you can get a sense of how much I love what Im doing, from this website that Ive built for my clients to enjoy.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Hollie Schwandt, My Husband Dean and I have been married for 25 years and been together for 29 years, and have two children, our daughter who is 22 and our son who is 19. We own and run an Air Conditioning business, in Arizona, that has been in our family for over 35 years. I was born and raised in the exclusive community in Arizona, called "Scottsdale". We lived there until 2002, at which time we moved out to the west side of the Valley, in Arizona. We are still personally located here in Goodyear AZ, but are relocating to the Dallas/Ft Worth area of ---Gods Country as we call it, or as you know it----Texas. We will be moving there personally, hopefully towards the end of 2009. We are in the process of trying to sell our home in Arizona and then at that time will be moving. Our breeding program is currenly being continued, with the help of a couple of friends of ours, that are also breeders, and they are located in the mid-west as well. So unfortunatly our litters are not in Arizona with us right now, but are being lovingly taken care of by our dear friends and partners. We are looking so forward to moving to TX, so that we can have our dogs there with us, and we will be setting up a beautiful state of the art facility, there is TX, just like what we have had here in Arizona. The pictures below are pictures that were taken when our dogs were located with us in Goodyear Arizona. New pictures of our place in TX, will be coming soon.
LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES.
IN THE HEART OF COWBOY COUNTRY
Location.......
This little gal proved to be the best hunting companion that we had ever had. Thus it became our desire to try to produce wonderful Labrador Retriever puppies that people could not only use in the field, but that were bred calm enough to be first and foremost a part of the family. It was a big job to try to find the dogs that would prove to be the wonderful foundation of our breeding program as we know it today. But with a lot of perserverance and tons of research, we found some wonderful breeders and wonderful dogs to start our breeding program with. And now today, 17 years later, we feel we have one of the most wonderful breeding programs around.
Ive raised and Shown many breeds, such as English Bulldogs, English Mastiffs and Goldens. We had also bred, raised and shown Rottweilers, and had done this for over 10 years prior, with great success, which takes a lot with a Breed like that. We only breed Labs now. So when we decided to get into the breedinig of Labradors, knowing that there were the two different types of Labs, we decided to breed both "Types" of Labradors so that we could reach out to more clients and offer our clients, show potential puppies as well as field/family dogs. Thus we have also been very active in showing and producing Show dogs in the Labrador Breed, but with the main goal in mind that these dogs need to be family companions as well at the same time keeping the natural field ability that they were originated for. We have always made it a goal to keep the dogs that we are breeding, versitile. Thus our Dogs have had many accomplisments under their belts including-service dogs, therapy dogs, seizure detection dogs, agility competitors (with titles), obedience competitors (with titles), show competitors (with titles) and most of all wonderful family companions.

Since we personally have not moved yet, (but our litters and dogs have) we thought we would let you take a virtual tour of our home in AZ where we had raised our puppies for so many years. This is where we personally still live, until we sell our home and move to TX, but our litters are not longer here with us, due to zoning restrictions now. We have plans for our new place and doggy facility, to be even better than this one in Arizona was. To view our place in AZ, where we reaised our puppies from 2002-2006, click on the link below---OUR FACILITY, and enjoy. We have worked so hard to get to where we are today, and we want to share this with all of you. Also we want our potential clients to know that once we get set up again in TX, you are more than welcome to come visit us, as that is how we have always been. We will welcome interested clients to visit us and the dogs when we move. We look forward to seeing you!
How we got started.....
Our family has always had so many animals over the years, and they have always been a huge part of our life. We currently have 4 horses and 2 mini donkeys. We also have many different types of birds that we keep as pets and hobbies, which include a parrot, quail, pigeons, pheasant, doves, parakeets, lovebirds etc, that we keep in our aviaries. We have other feathered friends-chickens, turkeys, and ducks, and we also have turtles, cats and a gerbils, chinchillas, hamsters, and rabbits, we even have rescue dogs, kittys and bunnies. We have always owned dogs, and I was raised-always having a dog, or dogs, sleep with me on my bed as a kid. As a kid it was my dream to be Vet also. So is it any wonder that we have evolved to this point, with the passion that we have for our dogs and this Hobby.
My Husband and I, together, started with an English Pointer, 29 years ago, and have owned Bird Dogs ever since. We have always been avid hunters, and find much joy and delight in watching our dogs work in the field. Our dogs have always gone everywhere with us and have been a part of our family. Although our Pointer was a wonderful hunter, she was a little too much dog for the normal family environment. Thus our next dog needed to be a bird dog that could hunt succesfully but would be calm enough to be a part of our family the rest of the time. That led us to buying our first Labrador Retriever, and that is when we knew that we would never be without one (or maybe 20 or so?) Our first Labrador was a Chocolate Bitch named Hershy. Hershy was never bred, she was bought strictly as a family pet and Field Companion for my Husband. Hershy was sent to a trainer and came back fully field trained with voice commands, hand signals and whistle commands. She was the best bird dog EVER and a great pal to my son.
Come share our PASSION!
Our goals for our breeding program.....
As we have mentioned before, We have produced, puppies for every aspect of life, Including Show CH, dogs for obedience competition and agility competition, therapy dogs, seizure detection dogs, field companions, and service dogs. But the most important goal for us is to put our dogs into family homes, to lay on the couch next to the fireplace in the winter, and swim all summer long, as to be a part of their adoptive family.
We have been involved in showing our dogs for over 15 years now, but unlike most of the hard core"SHOW BREEDERS" out there, our main goal is not to produce the perfect "SHOW PUPPY" just so we can booste our own ego. Trying to get our pups into that perfect 'SHOW' home, that has the money and means, to promote our dogs and name in the "SHOW RING" is not our main concern. To us it is not about making a great "SHOW NAME" for ourselves, by campaigning our dogs every weekend, in a ring, to show that "My dog is better than your dog" attitude. Really, to us, this shouldnt be a main goal, when it comes to producing living, breathing animals, with feelings and needs. Although we do show and are very active in titleing our dogs, this to us, is the wrong reason to breed.
Although weve had a lot of fun winning in the "Show Ring" it is not our main concern, and is not the drive behind our being involved in the breeding of our dogs. Our utmost goal is to produce happy, healthy, genetically sound dogs, proven by generations and years of our breeding program. We get our joy, when our clients and their families come to us, to help us aid them in adding a new family member to their home. We get our rewards when we get the letters, and emails, along with beautiful pictures, from our clients, year after year and litter after litter, telling us how we have made the whole process of getting a puppy, a joy, and that we have brought them and their family so much happiness in providing them with the perfect four legged family member. This is what is important to us.
