We are surrounded by farming crops, and 300 acres of desert land, where we excercise our animals, and where we can actually field train our dogs. We hunt from our front and back porch-what a life!
Let me start by saying that I cannot even begin to explain to you how much of a passion this is for me, being able to be around my animals so much and to have them as a major part of my life! I hope you can get a sense of how much I love what Im doing, from this website that Ive built for my clients to enjoy.
Let me introduce myself, my name is Hollie Schwandt, My Husband Dean and I have been married for 20 years and have two children, our daughter who is 17 and our son who is 14. We own and run an Air Conditioning business, here in the Valley, that has been in our family for over 30 years. We recently moved from Scottsdale Arizona, where I was born and raised, to live in the rural farming area, of Arizona, 30 miles west of Downtown Phoenix, where we have a beautiful ranch home on 3 acres just north of the base of the Estrella Mountains. Now we have plenty of room for our critters (and ourselves) to roam.

Location.......
This little gal proved to be the best hunting companion that we had ever had. Thus it became our desire to try to produce wonderful Labrador Retriever puppies that people could not only use in the field, but that were bred calm enough to be first and foremost a part of the family. It was a big job to try to find the dogs that would prove to be the wonderful foundation of our breeding program as we know it today. But with a lot of perserverance and tons of research, we found some wonderful breeders and wonderful dogs to start our breeding program with. And now today, 12 years later, we feel we have one of the most wonderful breeding programs around.
We had also bred, raised and shown Rottweilers, and had done this for over 10 years, with great success, which takes a lot with a Breed like that. So when we decided to get into the breedinig of Labradors, knowing that there were the two different types of Labs, we decided to breed both "Types" of Labradors so that we could reach out to more clients and offer our clients, show potential puppies as well as field/family dogs. Thus we have also been very active in showing and producing Show dogs in the Labrador Breed, but with the main goal in mind that these dogs need to be family companions as well at the same time keeping the natural field ability that they were originated for. We have always made it a goal to keep the dogs that we are breeding, versitile. Thus our Dogs have had many accomplisments under their belts including-service dogs, therapy dogs, seizure detection dogs, agility competitors (with titles), obedience competitors (with titles), show competitors (with titles) and most of all wonderful family companions.

How we got started.....
Our family has always had so many animals over the years, and they have always been a huge part of our life. We currently have 4 horses and 2 mini horses, and a mini donkey. We also have many different types of birds that we keep as pets and hobbies, which include a parrot, quail, pigeons, pheasant, doves, parakeets, lovebirds etc, that we keep in our aviaries. We have other feathered friends-chickens, turkeys, and ducks, and we also have turtles, cats and a ferret. We have always owned dogs, and I was raised-always having a dog, or dogs, sleep with me on my bed as a kid. As a kid it was my dream to be Vet also. So is it any wonder that we have evolved to this point, with the passion that we have for our dogs and this Hobby.
My Husband and I, together, started with an English Pointer, 24 years ago, and have owned Bird Dogs ever since. We have always been avid hunters, and find much joy and delight in watching our dogs work in the field. Our dogs have always gone everywhere with us and have been a part of our family. Although our Pointer was a wonderful hunter, she was a little too much dog for the normal family environment. Thus our next dog needed to be a bird dog that could hunt succesfully but would be calm enough to be a part of our family the rest of the time. That led us to buying our first Labrador Retriever, and that is when we knew that we would never be without one (or maybe 20 or so?) Our first Labrador was a Chocolate Bitch named Hershy. Hershy was never bred, she was bought strictly as a family pet and Field Companion for my Husband. Hershy was sent to a trainer and came back fully field trained with voice commands, hand signals and whistle commands.
