We have made history

Here at Silver Hill Retrievers we are proud of the fact that Silver Hill Retrievers and Red Rock Ranch are making History! In doing this we believe we have set the bar for success and have pioneered the Dilute Labrador, to a point where it has not been before now. Chief our silver Male out of our bitch Star, and Stud-Shadow, created great waves in the show and breeding community by becoming the "First Titled Silver Labrador". Chief is doing this by his having accomplished his CKC CD title in 3 straight shows and placing in all 4. There were 13 dogs competing with him. He took 3 third places, and 1 fourth. Quite the accomplishment for a puppy!

Making history once again, Chief is also now the "First Multi-Titled Silver Labrador", ever, in the world. Chief attained his AKC CD title in 3 shows, finishing September 12th, 2004, finishing with a wonderful score and enableing him to attain a 2nd place. Congratulations to Chief and Chiefs trainer, our dear friend and partner, Mary Gehloff !

Chief turned out to be a phenominal boy, with very thick bone and substance and a gorgeous, thick blocky head, not to mention his wonderful personality and temperament. He is now in his new home with Janet and her family at 'Silver Dream Kennel" in Germany. He has produced the most beautiful puppies for us and is now producing wonderful pups for Janet and her breeding program. We have kept so many of his kids and grand kids to follow in his footsteps and they are turning out to be awesome producers in their own right.

Chief was raised her at Red Rock Ranch, where he was used as the foundation of our breeding program, due to the soundness of his lineage and the wonderful puppies that he has produced for us. We put two titles on him, in two different kennel clubs, in both the US and Canada, by the age of 2 years old, which made him the very first Dilute Labrador (Silver Labrador) in history, to attain not only one title, but multiple titles. Since then many have braved to follow in his footsteps. We are proud to have worked with our beautiful boy Chief, in pioneering the way for the Dilute Labrador, to start competing and attaining titles at dog show events across the world. Chief is a very special boy to us, and will always hold a place in our heart, and in our breeding program, as the foundation of how our 'Dilute Breeding Program" began. We are forever greatful to him. Chief has recently relocated with his new family, and is being used as the sound foundation in their Dilute breeding program as well. Congratulations Janet, on getting your new beautiful boy Chief and thank you so much for giving him the loving family home that he deserves. We are very thankful that you contacted us and we are so priviledged that Chief is now part or your family. As you can see from his progeny below, he has produced amazing for us, and his kids have tons of bone and substance, beautiful blocky heads as well as much needed correct conformation.
