Type Comparison
We wanted to show the comparison between the "Typical Type" Labrador and the "Show Type" Labrador. To draw the most accurate comparison, we have used pictures of dogs that are of the same sex and the same age.
Males
Notice the distinct differences in these two head types. The "Typical Type", for the most part, has a longer snout, larger, heavier ear, set lower on the skull, a more rounded top skull, a stop that is less prominant, and a longer thinner neck, to name just a few differences. On the other hand the "Show Type", for the most part, has a shorter muzzle, more eye and cheek fill, a wider jaw and muzzle, a distinct stop, a flatter wider top skull, and a smaller, shorter, more pendant ear.

Comparing Body Type
Notice the distinct differences in these two body types. The "Typical Type", for the most part, has longer legs, and not as much substance on the leg. They are taller in appearance, and have a longer tail. They are not as stocky as the "Show Type". The "Typical Type" dogs are larger dogs, overall. They have a longer neck that is not as thick. On the other hand the "Show Type", for the most part, have a shorter, stockier frame, shorter, thicker legs, a shorter tail, thicker, shorter necks, and a much blockier look to their build.
