At times we have quite a demand for older pups and adults that have started their training, or for totally trained dogs for those who wish to bypass the small unobedient puppy stage. Therefore, occassionsally, here at Red Rock Ranch, we will have "Started" adults or older pups available for sale. Some of these dogs may be breeding dogs that are now retiring from the life of motherhood or fatherhood and are looking for a loving family home to begin their new lives with. A"Started Pup" or "Started Dog" is an older pup or adult that has been started with Basic Obedience, Leash Training, Crate Training, House Breaking, Etc. The type of training varies depending on how much you wish to spend. These Started dogs, tend to be a bit more expensive than the younger pups that have not had any formal training due to their age. Our retired breeding dogs will have different levels of training on them, but are usually less expensive than the dogs and pups that we are actively training at the time. If you are not wantinig to spend the extra for a "Started" dog, we also have, from time to time, older pups that have not yet started their training , or retired adults that may not be fully trained in every aspect, and their price is usually less than that of the started pups and adults. These dogs and young adults are sometimes cheaper than the young pups from our current litters, or upcoming litters.
We also offer the option of having us put training on any dog that you purchase from us, to whatever extent you wish, so if you choose to purchase a young pup, or an older pup from us that has not yet started training, we do have training packages available during certain times of the year. However the training offered is seasonal.

This young boy is the sweetest puppy ever. He has tons of personality. He is out of Copper and Sterling so he will be more on the "Typical Type", but as you can tell from the pic, he has nice substance, and a pretty head, (although we caught him with his ear back--in the pic). He walks on a leash without pulling, will sit on command, is crate trained, is working on house training. As you can see from this picture of him swimming at our pond, he loves the water. He is great with kids and is used to having kids handle him, and he just loves them. He is raised around other dogs, and kittys also. He is very loving and will make a wonderful family companion, or great addition to someones breeding program, as he has a nicely improved pedigree and carries the silver gene. This sweet little boy is what we call 1/2 and 1/2 type, right in bwtween the Typical and Show type. Both parents are CH's, mom also has obedience titles. The pedigree consists of very well known show lines, including Cambremer an Rocheby. He is fully housebroke, crate trained, will walk on a leash, sit on command, comes when called, is working on healing and sit without command, and is a very obedient boy. He loves to play fetch and would make a wonderful addition to a family. These little girls are of Show Type, and are totally show bred. Parents are Wyatt and Cowgirl. Both mom and dad are out of CH's, moms Sire is a Multi CH--AKC/INTL/MEX CH, and is also Field titled. Both parents Hip/Elbow clear. These girls have got good bone and substance, and very nice blocky heads. This is a repeat breeding, in which we kept one of their Brothers (Doc) from the first litter, 1 1/2 years ago. Our boy, Doc, has proven to be a wonderful dog, with a sweet disposition, and is a wonderful Hunter for my husband. He is pictured below.
